FILIPINO KALI

Houston, Texas

Kali Filipino Martial Arts, also referred to as Arnis and Eskrima, was designed to combat any weapon, such as knives, sticks, bladed weapons, & empty hand attacks. Kali is a weapons based system that shows you how to defend yourself in the street.

Kali offers skills with both stick and empty hand for self defense against multiple attackers. Kali is a very popular Filipino Martial Art that focuses on weapons.

This Art is used world wide by Law Enforcement and Military Forces because of its practicality and efficiency against any weapon. The same knowledge learned with the weapons is transferred to empty hands making this Art extremely versatile.

FILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS

There are many different styles of Kali. Each one with its own form and approach to fighting with bladed weapons. In the Wing Chun Kali System we do different systems of Kali where each one brings a different approach to how it’s done in that particular system.

Different from most martial arts, in Kali you start with sticks and later progress to empty hand. The stick is used as a tool to develop timing, footwork, body mechanics and understanding of going from the strike to the disarm to the take-down.

The beauty in Kali is that the training you do with the sticks and knives, can easily be transferred and done with empty hand. This is why these arts have become so popular with law enforcement and military personnel.
